Born of the New York City streets, Bobby Kane has been surrounded by music all his life. He would jump at the chance to play his aunt's piano or the one at his parent's church. He would take any chance offered to play around with his uncle's guitar. "I would listen to my mother sing around the house and mimic the sound or even harmonize with her from another room." It was what created the monster we've all come to know and love.
It started in P.S. 118 in Jamaica, NY. Singing in the Glee Club brought a shy, chubby little boy to center stage for a solo during a Christmas concert. The compliments came rolling in. It was such a different feeling than he was used to. Junior high (I.S. 59) brought the same feeling when he was asked to join the chorus.
He was front man for a band called Stereo Orphans. I remember being at a packed 'Downtime' in N.Y.C., sitting next to his grandmother. That's right. A grandmother at a rock show. Go figure. He started his set with the usual background noise and by the time he reached his third song the entire place was so into what was going on up on stage that I heard a guy "shh" one of his friends that was talking to the girl next to him. Even then I thought this guy should be in the record stores.
He's been away from the stage for a while but he's back with every bit of the heart he had back then and more. I caught up with him again in passing. We remembered each other instantly. I was taken aback by how humble he is. I asked him about his plans and what he told me left me speechless simply because he was so sincere.
"I need to get back to where I belong." he said. "I don't need a lot of fancy cars and a giant house. I don't need any of those things. I just want to touch hearts again. There's nothing more beautiful than sharing what you've lived with someone that may have gone through something like it and all parties involved realize that they're not alone in this crazy world. There's a love there that can't be found anywhere else. That's what I'm all about. This life isn't easy but nothing that's worth doing ever is. Being able to share that love with a room or hall full of like-minded people makes it all worth while."
On top of being an amazingly talented musician, singer and songwriter, Bobby is also an artist and novelist. He is currently working on his first, major novel called The Hell Shroud. It promises to be a most provocative read and those to whom he has allowed a glimps have already asked to pre-order and anticipate it reaching the Best Seller Lists.
The
HOTTIE is on the mark. You had better get set. GO!
Her name is Lindsay Haughton and she’s not just cute. She’s fierce, army trained and on the stage... or battlefield. (Is there a difference?)
There really isn’t a percussion instrument she doesn’t play yet she is one contemporary rock drummer with the kind of feel that makes you stand up and take notice. It doesn’t stop there.
To just call her a rock drummer would be more than a grievous understatement. Style and flexibility go hand and hand this chica has it all. There’s nothing she can’t do. She’s like Mighty Mouse with sticks.
Sexy and skilled, Lindsay is the rhythmic assassin, sneaking in for the kill – the Femme Fatale.
You’ll find Lindsay on stages all over, with a few different projects but home base is right here with Bobby Kane.
A
trendsetter in the world of the singer/songwriter, Jason Vitelli proves to us
all that there is more than one road to musical bliss. As a
multi-instrumentalist, Jason would be considered a Jack-of-all-trades and
master of every last one. As a singer/songwriter, he’s unstoppable with natural
instincts that make him a virtuoso on guitar, piano, saxophone… you name it.
Jason’s debut album “No Photographs” is a beautifully
crafted collection of thought provoking and easily enjoyable music. I listen to
it often and have added several tunes to play lists designed to help me relax
and make it through the tough days.
With that CD under his belt, The Amazing Vitelli
offered his outstanding saxophone skills to “Last Call,” a song on the upcoming
album “ICARUS – Songs of a Fallen Angel” by Bobby Kane. The addition of Vitelli
on sax turned the song from a nice little tune into a masterpiece.
Jason can also be found with a bass in his hand,
laying down the lines that make a Bobby Kane live show the rhythmic paradise it
has become.

Who’s that guy?
He looks like a rock star. He plays like a rock star. Browneyes, is a rock star. He’s like family… scratch that. He’s family. A blood test may not prove it but seeing him on stage with the crew, in the rehearsal studio or just hanging out, Browneyes Page is the dude you want to have your back. His is covered. There’s your proof.
With his great affection for blues and good, old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll, he’s the perfect rhythm guitarist and the support system that enables the musical light to shine.
With a Les Paul, an overdrive pedal and a Fender Twin or Marshall Jubilee, this musical muscle-man is always ready for battle. Add to that his drive and determination and you’ve got yourself a weapon capable of mass creation.
More often than not you can find Valencia shaking his head when the Bobby Kane train pulls into the silly station. Rest assured, he’ll soon be joining in. You’ll never have to ask which way did he go, George. He’s there right on time.
Suave and confident, Browneyes is the eye candy the ladies love and the guitarist the dudes envy.
